Abstract:
The dynamic development of e-commerce in Poland determines the increase in competitiveness of the e-commerce sector. Managers of e-stores are implementing many innovations as a result of customer expectations. One of the most significant barriers to the development of e-commerce is the lack of confidence, which is due to the concern about the security of transactions, especially in the payment stage. The evolution of payment is driven by the desire to increase safety and speed of execution venues that are considered important parameters of new innovations in the field of online payment. The main directions of the changes that can be identified based on recent years’ results include the increase in popularity of mobile payments and acceptance of high-speed internet money transfers as well as a significantly decreasing number of cash-on-delivery transactions.
