Abstract: The functioning of cultural institutions depends to a large extent on the degree of their public funding and their ability to source funding for ongoing activities or targeted projects. The aim of the paper is to indicate the sources of funding for cultural units, with particular regard to own revenues. The analysis covered cultural institutions operating at the level of regional government.
