Abstract: The article contains financial crisis examples and findings on banking and financial markets behaviour during trouble times. The main parts of the paper are the following: general remarks on financial crisis, crisis in the banking system, chaos at foreign exchange and capital markets, financial pyramids as an element of financial instability, social unrest and wars – their influence on financial markets. The main findings of this study are connected with the causes of financial chaos and possible exit strategies.
