Abstract: The aim of this paper is to discuss the extent to which the organic metaphor, commonly used in management publications, allows you to better understand the functioning of the organization. The article attempts to develop some aspects of this approach based on literature studies. Some human characteristics and behaviors are compared with the behavior of organizations in order to assess the extent to which they are similar and thus whether such an analogy is justified.
