Abstract: The phenomenon of information asymmetry between the supplier and the client in IT projects based on outsourcing is an important issue that affects the entire life cycle of an IT project. Information asymmetry is an inherent feature of transactions in the IT market, which should be considered while analysing IT project success. The aim of this article is to summarise my research concerning information asymmetry in IT projects. The conclusions may be interesting both for practitioners and theorists of business informatics.
