Abstract: The article presents immigrant entrepreneurship as a field of research. In the first section, the main concepts related to immigrant entrepreneurship are recounted. It is followed by an analysis of factors that give grounds for regarding immigrant entrepreneurship as a separate field of research. Several important trends and tendencies in immigrant entrepreneurship research are also outlined. The last section is devoted to a discussion on potential challenges faced by researchers.
