Abstract: An important component of planning activities of the city self-government is the implementation of the concept of sustainable development through the preparation and implementation of arrangements contained in studies on spatial planning. The paper attempts to evaluate ways to implement the idea of sustainability in spatial management of cities using the correspondence analysis. It has identified the cities which are characterised by a low degree of implementation of the concept of sustainability based on the criterion of planning coverage. The results of the investigation include such cities as Hel, Krynica Morska, £eba and Nieszawa.
