Well-Being of Immigrant Entrepreneurs in Their Entrepreneurial Life

Abstract: Miller and Collier (2010) in their considerations on entrepreneurial success state that focusing just on wealth creation is very narrow. The purpose of the paper is to present the results of the analysis of the quality of immigrant entrepreneurs’ life. Authors have examined the differences in well-being, satisfaction and work-life balance among immigrant entrepreneurs and non-immigrant entrepreneurs. In the study, the data from Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) from 2013 was used. The research results show that the levels of well-being, satisfaction and work-life balance of immigrant entrepreneurs are higher than in the case of non-immigrant entrepreneurs. Also these three variables are higher among opportunity immigrant entrepreneurs than among necessity immigrant entrepreneurs.
