Abstract:
The economic crisis caused a slowdown in global economic development and in some countries even its collapse. Companies began to experience serious financial problems and to guard against bankruptcy, enacted massive layoffs to cut costs. The main task of this manuscript is to present the concept of Lean, which in an efficient and effective way to reduce the costs of the company without incurring capital expenditure. There is also a great way of raising the productivity index and effective method for fighting the crisis by increasing production while reducing consumption of resources. Application of Lean enterprise increases the competitive advantage while reducing costs not only of the production itself, but of the total business. The authors attempt to address some of the tools used in Lean and report the effects of implementing the concept in a company involved in the production and distribution of supplies for printing devices. Note, however, that the use of appropriate tools to support the implementation of lean management in the enterprise depends primarily on its specificity, which is why it is impossible to give a universal solution.
