Abstract:
The text deals with two aspects of the ongoing contemporary sociocultural changes: individualization and the spread of the network logic. I discuss the specific nature of both processes in the Polish context, and ask the question about their possible implications for the functioning of companies and organizations, especially in the time of evolution of the sources and forms of organizational collaboration, as well as the changing role of informal relationships and soft skills. The first part is dedicated to the process of individualization, which, by bringing the unit to the forefront, redefines the possibilities of its fulfilment and violates the traditional model of relationship with the community. The second part deals with the spread of the network logic. Coming into conflict with two major principles of Western civilization - the linearity and the recognition of relational power - it forces the new ways of managing and organizing.
