Abstract:
The article characterizes Employee Relationship Management (ERM) as a developmental tendency in the area of human resources. It explains why the introduction of ERM is indispensable in the existing demographic and legal circumstances. It also enumerates economic premises of this concept for the organization (including what is called "the loyalty effect") and shows its benefits for the employees (e.g. the avoidance of transaction costs). The possibility (though limited) of using the E. Flamholtz's method of discounted streams of cash flow for the evaluation of ERM efficiency was demonstrated. The tendency was located within such concepts as Human Capital Management and Value Based Management, at the same time indicating its relation with entrepreneurship and strategic management. Points of the concept concurrent with personal controlling and personal risk management were shown.
