Abstract:
The socio-politics aspects of society affect the development process and so do traditional sex roles. This aspect of development has been largely ignored and the contributions of women have been discounted. Promoting women’s participation in economic development is an essential element for positive change in society. The aim of this study is to determine main characteristics, economic and social problems of women entrepreneurs in Turkey and to offer solution proposal to the said problems in the context of sustainable development. Method of the study is survey-based due diligence.
