ANALYSIS OF THE ABSORBTION RATE OF FUNDS AVAILABLE THROUGH THE NATIONAL RURAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME 2007-2013 IN ROMANIA

Abstract: The National Rural Development Program (RDP) 2007-2013 aimed at setting policies and actions of rural development for 2007-2013 in the following areas: forestry, rural development and agriculture. At the base of its implementation stood the National Strategic Plan which was elaborated for Rural Development in Romania, being developed by the Romanian Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development through the General Directorate for Rural Development - Managing Authority for the RDP. The National Rural Development Program (RDP) in the period 2007-2013 focused on several issues such as competitiveness, the importance of life, having as general objectives: increase the competitiveness and development of agriculture and the forestry sector, improve the rural environment, improve the quality of life, diversify the rural economy and start the implementation of local development initiatives (LEADER).
