Abstract: The article deals with the problems of foreign debt – theory and practice. In the article it has been made a brief systematisation of the theory in connection with the debts, after which some aspects of the German debt settlement and the debt of Republic of Moldova heve been focused. As a resut the author makes some recommendations which aspects of the German debt settlement could been used by the settlement of the debt of Moldova.
