Yuliya E. Bondareva: Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation

Journal of Modern Competition, 2008, issue 1, 45-54

Abstract: If we take a look at the antimonopoly law used in the developed countries, we shall see that the regulations are rather strict. We shall also see that the law is written as a result of the legal decisions taken and the application practices. The Federal Antimonopoly Service is a meaningful market economy tool. It was founded 15 years ago. The Russian antimonopoly legislation was created during this 15-year period of time. It fosters the competition and counters monopolies and mala fide competition. But the legislation is subject to amendments that make it better. The editorial board has asked Ms Bondareva to speak about what the newest amendments are in the financial market-related antimonopoly legislation in Russia.
