Abstract:
This paper presents the research of the prospects of monetary unions, which would be intensify the competition for the right of money issue in regions all of the World taking into account growing globalization trend and international economic integration. It is noted that despite the disadvantages of losing national currencies in favor of a single one, currency integration may be the only way to confront globalization and to keep up the competitiveness of regional economies.
