Abstract: On the basis of tax incomes and number of the occupied population in subjects of the Russian Federation the concept of an index of tax revenues intensity is entered. This integrated indicator reflects tax incomes on all types of tax and allows estimating economic activity of the population in these subjects. The analysis of an index values from 2006 to 2009 have shown that distribution of an offered indicator aspires to the normal law of distribution.
