Institutional and legal foundation of European-Latin American cooperation in context of international competition

Abstract:
The paper examines the main stages in the development of cooperation between the European Union and the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean in context of international competition. The paper highlights the key documents that constitute the legal framework for interregional cooperation, mechanisms of cooperation and the main areas for competition. Marked the main problems arising in the course of constructing the interregional association. Despite the differences in views on a number of key issues in international relations, the European Union and Latin America share a common system of democratic values, based on the principle of multipolarity. The author reveals the importance of the relations between the LCA and the EU in the context of international competitive disposition. In this context, the article also discusses the perspectives of cooperation LCA and Russia.
