Abstract:
The aim of this study is to examine the types and the use of Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM), as well as the factors affecting the use of CAM in Eskişehir, Turkey. 300 respondents were selected randomly from the city center and questionnaires were applied. Results show that 60%of the respondents use different types of CAM. Sociodemographic characteristics did not show any significant effect on the overall use of CAM. However, accessibility and the costs of health services had significant effects on the overall use of CAM.
