Abstract:
Endogenous growth models and globalization are among the most important discussions being held in the literature during the last quarter of 20th century. The endogenous growth models have changed the point of view about the concepts of economic growth and the government itself by internalizing the facts that are assumed to be exogenous previously, such as knowledge, R&D, social capital, technological progress and economics of scale. From this perspective it can be suggested that the endogenous growth models have positive effects on the declination of the recessions in developed countries. On the other hand, even though the globalization has been evaluated as a tool to achieve development, globalization’s market oriented point of view has limited the desired gains from it. For this reason, in this study we attempt to demonstrate the validity of the previsions of the endogenous growth model for the developing countries.
