Turistlerin Tatil Dönemlerinde Sergiledikleri Liminoid Davranışlar

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to identify the liminoid behaviors exhibited on vacation periods by tourists and to discover whether there is a statistically significant difference between liminoid behaviors and nationality and types of tourism. According to the results of the analyses, it is discovered that there is a statistically significant difference between the liminoid behaviors and participants’ nationalities, and there is also a statistically significant difference between the liminoid behaviors and the types of tourism in which the participants involved. As a result of this research, the five types of liminoid behaviors (hedonism, privacy, tolerance-anomaly, identity detachment, play-player) related to vacation periods have been identified. According to this classification, five types of tourists are suggested; hedonist, anonymous, permissive, faceless and player under “liminoid tourist” concept.
