Government factors that influence the relevance between environmental and economic growth

Shibing You, Bi Wu and Ping Shen ()

Annals of Operations Research, 2015, vol. 228, issue 1, 35-45

Abstract: This article studies the influence of joint government factors on the relationship between environmental and economic growth and the role the government plays in it. It establishes dynamic analysis models in both the absence and presence of government factors. It shows the impacts on the economic growth generated from production that is related to environmental quality and the production changes brought about by environmental transformation. This article also presents the absolute differences of these impacts in the absence and presence of government interventions through the comparison of the models. Finally, influential government factors that affect economic growth are determined with environmental protection considered at the same time. Copyright Springer Science+Business Media, LLC 2015
