Abstract:
The concept of CAMPUS-Files is introduced. CAMPUS-Files are discussed with respect to the degree of attained anonymisation. They are comparable to Public Use Files by they differ with respect to the intended use, which is teaching. This purpose includes especially the possibility to demonstrate methodological issues like sampling design effects and the effect of anonymisation routines. The paper introduces in detail the CAMPUS-Files of the following surveys: Micro Census 1998, Wages and Salary Survey 1998, the European “Continuing Vocational Training Survey” 2000 and the Balance of Costs and Gains Survey 1999. Finally, additional usage of CAMPUS-Files is discussed. Copyright Springer 2008
