Mikroökonometrie und Kausalität: Zur Bedeutung arbeitsmarktpolitischer Evaluationsstudien

Reinhard Hujer ()

AStA Wirtschafts- und Sozialstatistisches Archiv, 2011, vol. 5, issue 1, 5-18

Abstract: The aim of microeconometric evaluation studies is the estimation of the effects of political measures and reforms on the individual level with regard to different economic objectives. Meanwhile empirical evaluation analyses are of high importance for actual policy advice, especially for labour market and social policy. Since generally non-experimental data sets are available for empirical studies different microeconometric methods are used to solve the problem of selection bias and to estimate causal effects. The application of the evaluation approaches and the empirical implementation are demonstrated with respect to selected empirical studies of labour market policy. Copyright Springer 2011
