Abstract:
The follow-up survey was a control sample survey in the 2011 census. It allowed an overall statistical assessment of the quality regarding the number of inhabitants. This paper describes the basic methodical principles of the sample survey and its underlying sampling technique. It will give background information and illustrate the goals of the follow-up survey. After presenting first results of the follow-up survey, the paper concludes with an interpretation of the follow-up survey of the 2011 census. Copyright Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2015
