What kind of electronic markets do we deserve?

Abstract: Abstract Although electronic marketplaces show a great variety of architectures they build on generic services for market transactions. This allows for the development of an open protocol for such services. To hold up the current development towards oligopolistic structures such a protocol stack has become imperative.
