Abstract: Abstract Informing people and valuing the environmental resources will ensure better resource protection, create a variety of jobs and improve the livelihoods of local people. Herein this research determines the conservation value of the rangelands and the factors affecting the individual’s willingness to pay (WTP) using the contingent valuation method and logit regression model in Boyer-Ahmad’s Maleshoure and Gurgo region, Iran. The parameters of the model were estimated using the maximum likelihood method through 380 questionnaires.
