Abstract:
Abstract This study aimed to create a mapping-depended methodology in delineating the suitable territories for Industrial Symbiosis (IS) initiatives. The Geographic Information System (GIS)-integrated Fuzzy AHP (FAHP) was applied to the data of olive pomace (OP), marble processing wastes (MPW) and plastic wastes (PP/PET) generated in the whole country (Turkey). In the proposed methodology, factor identifications and their pairwise comparisons need to be made by experts. Factor weighting was implemented by FAHP method for each waste type. The highest FAHP weights were calculated as 0.57 for OP facility capacity, 0.64 for marble facility capacity and 0.41 for plastics industrial estate factors (high consistency: CR
