Abstract: Abstract Solar pond is one of the latest technologies that have been used to produce fresh water in different countries. The studied solar pond consists of a metal floor and glass walls. In this research, a mathematical model is presented with the aim of estimating salt deposition. The results show that proposed model has high accuracy. Results show that sum of square error and relative error of proposed equation are equal to 3.048E−14 and 0.11214, respectively. In addition, the p-value and square error of proposed model have been validated. Results show that p-value of temperature and shear stress has a significant contribution in salt deposition. This research shows that R-Squared of proposed model is equal to 0.9359. This value indicates good validity of the proposed model.
