Abstract:
Abstract The increasing global emphasis on sustainable development, particularly within the realm of energy and building research, has led to a surge in scholarly activity. This paper addresses the imperative need to systematically scrutinize and comprehend the evolution of research in this domain. Employing a comprehensive scientometric approach, the study unfolds the multifaceted landscape of Energy and Building (E&B) research from 2015 to 2020. Under the PRISMA framework, the analysis involves a meticulous examination of 1543 bibliographic records sourced from the Scopus database, leveraging quantitative science mapping techniques. Key facets explored include the annual publication trend, co-occurrence network of keywords, science mapping of research journals, co-authorship network analysis, citation patterns, and the involvement of active countries. The discerned insights not only delineate the temporal evolution of the research area but also contribute to identifying focal points requiring heightened scholarly attention.
