Abstract: Abstract Environmental sustainability has been a hypercritical concern for developing and developed countries. This concern is also at an alarming phase in Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa (BRICS), which are leading developing countries. To escalate environmental sustainability, one of the solutions is to promote green growth (GGDP). Hence, scientific investigation is required to determine the impact factors of GGDP in order to offer an effective policy framework. Based on this, the purpose of this study is to probe the impact of tourism on GGDP in BRICS countries. The research utilizes the panel dataset spanning 1990–2020. The findings from CS–ARDL reveal that tourism promotes GGDP across the long and short run. Hence, we propose to take measures (e.g., subsidizing the tourism industry) to encourage tourism, which in turn upsurges GGDP.
