Abstract:
Abstract In this study, performance parameters were mathematically analysed using a novel solar still model’s relative optimisation approach, which was focused on thermal performances with payback and environ-economic analysis. Proposed approach rectifies the irregular use of evacuated annular tubes (EATC) with the help of newly designed parabolic profile solar recipients (PSR) and maximizes the piece approach of suggested dual-fold solar still unit (DSS-EATC-PSR) in relationship to usual or PSR followed distinct oriented units. With the solar still cabinet thermal gain (11.4%) in accordance with a 30° angle inclined to horizontal of cabinet cover and all of the EATC tubing’s combined the DSS-EATC-PSR coordination was improved and progressed. In comparison to SSS-EATC, also SSS-EATC-PSR, accordingly, a natural thermo syphon circulation increment with improvements (28.1%) is obtained for DSS-EATC-PSR. Also, compared to a solo face solared still system (SSS), the daily basis net efficacies (energy–exergy) have a minor decrease of 8.4% as well as 4.7%, respectively. Further, compared to SSS system, the yielding per day was improved by 4.6% at a noteworthy treatment cost with a modest promotion price of $0.07/l. The environmental revenue and CO2 mitigation outperform the SSS structure by 5.9% and 14.6%, respectively. The concern expenditure of DSS unit is economical, and the productivity of the systems was found appreciable that assures the likelihood of the anticipated model.
