Chemical memory erasure; a photochemical model

The European Physical Journal B: Condensed Matter and Complex Systems, 2014, vol. 87, issue 10, 1-7

Abstract: Erasure of memory is an essential part of information processing. We consider a photochemical model to suggest a protocol for chemical memory erasure. It has been shown that successful erasure may be achieved by a synergy between a very weak but optimal thermal noise and a minuscule linear bias. The suggested scheme for photochemical transformation can be viewed as a chemical analogue of memory erasure procedure. Copyright EDP Sciences, SIF, Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2014
