Optical Bloch equations in a bichromatic field; vibrational resonance

Shyamolina Ghosh and Deb Shankar Ray ()

The European Physical Journal B: Condensed Matter and Complex Systems, 2015, vol. 88, issue 1, 1-5

Abstract: The effect of high frequency field on the optical response of a two-level system to a low frequency field is considered. We demonstrate that the response is maximum for an appropriate amplitude of the high frequency field. We derive an approximate analytic expression for the linear optical response function to corroborate the numerical observation of vibrational resonance.
