Nexus between fintech, green finance natural resources, economic growth and environment sustainability: evidence from BRICS countries

Abstract:
Abstract This study examines the interconnectedness of financial technology, green finance and natural resource rent and economic growth in achieving environmental sustainability goals, using cross-sectionally augmented autoregressive distributed lag method. The results show that fintech has the capability to efficiently optimize the financial aspects of green projects, all the while decreasing carbon emissions. In addition, the advancement of fintech can foster green economic growth by enhancing the progress of green finance, which holds significant relevance for environmental sustainability. In BRICS countries, green finance and economic growth serve as crucial tools for enhancing environmental sustainability. Indeed, it is crucial to shift toward GEN in order to diminish CO2 emissions and foster sustainable growth.
