Abstract:
Abstract Sustaining Learning Sites for Agriculture (LSAs) is essential for enhancing agricultural education and rural development; however, research lacks a structured framework for identifying key sustainability strategies from the lens of the Resource-Based View (RBV). This study explores best practices and strategies of successful LSAs in Lanao del Norte, including Iligan City, by identifying the key performance indicators (KPIs) using Business Model Canvas (BMC). Through qualitative thematic analysis of structured interviews, the study identifies nine KPIs critical to LSA sustainability, including stakeholder engagement, diversified revenue streams, strategic partnerships, and resource optimization. Findings highlight LSA's role in knowledge dissemination, financial sustainability, and resilience, reinforcing RBV’s resource management perspective and BMC’s strategic business modeling. The study contributes to agricultural training research by proposing a scalable framework for LSA sustainability and recommending policy integration, financial diversification, and digital learning expansion. Future research should explore comparative studies, impact assessments, and the role of technology in agricultural learning sites.
