Abstract: The findings suggest that health behaviours that begin to develop in adolescence are less strongly influenced by parental socioeconomic position. Preventive intervention strategies should take the different socioeconomic patterns of health behaviour into account. Copyright Birkhäuser Verlag, Basel 2009
