Abstract:
Abstract The primary aim of using fingerprints nowadays has become an unavoidable one as it supports validating security, granting permission to access certain sensitive information and even extend its role professionally towards maintenance and other related activities. The fingerprint domain is playing a more important role in verifying the patient identity hence detecting fraud-related initiatives and allowing the task of discharging infants to the correct families. We have proposed an initiative to handle this aim. Initially preprocessing is carried out with support from the median filter to handle the noisy fingerprint images. This helps to improve the clarity of the noisy images. The process of binarization is further initiated in this hybrid cum novel approach. The accuracy is much realized in a better way after applying the matching algorithm towards fetching the medical details of the authorized person and handing it over to the same individual correctly. Such a form of realization is well supported by FVC 2004 to test and hence the aim of almost stopping the wrong use of getting patient history is carried out effectively through this hybrid cum novel method. The obtained average precision of 85.28% is found to be effective on par with other compared similar works.
