Abstract: Abstract The purpose of this study is to learn more about how blockchain technology might improve food supply chain traceability and safety in the restaurant business. Food contamination and quality issues require transparent and immutable data tracking, which decentralized digital ledgers like blockchain offer. Using blockchain technology, this project aims to lower supply chain inefficiencies, inaccurate labeling, and contamination incidents that undermine consumer confidence and incur costs for businesses. The project looks into how blockchain technology, which provides access to information on ingredient sources, manufacturing processes, transportation, and storage conditions, can facilitate real-time collaboration between producers, consumers, and regulatory agencies. The study’s main focus areas were identifying foodborne illnesses quickly, cutting down on food waste, strengthening inventory control, and boosting consumer confidence by providing correct product information. In spite of potential roadblocks including system scalability, integration costs, and opposition to change, the study provides a comprehensive framework and algorithm for blockchain adoption in restaurants, emphasizing its transformative potential for attaining a more trustworthy and transparent food supply chain.
