Abstract: Abstract This article presents an algorithm for optimal redundancy and repair team allocation with respect to minimum system cost and a system availability constraint. An approach providing the greatest distribution of service teams and redundancies in relation to an overall reliability limitation and appropriate system expenditure is presented throughout this piece of research. Few possible outcomes are taken into account for system-wide unit makes: autonomy, proportional dependency, weak reliance, and significant reliance. The original Cuckoo search algorithm’s switching parameter was set at 25%, and not enough research has been done to determine, how the dynamic switching value affects the algorithm’s performance. Three new Cuckoo search algorithms based on dynamically rising switching parameters are developed in this research. To solve the chaotic arithmetic optimum issue related to allocations, a flexible optimization technique is devised. An adaptive cuckoo optimization algorithm is developed for solving the nonlinear integer optimization problem of allocation. For demonstration purposes, a six-subsystem series–parallel system is used as a case study. The outcomes demonstrate how well the designed algorithm performs. A six-module series–parallel network is used as an example for demonstrative purposes. The findings show how well the developed method works.
