Abstract: Abstract Sustainable manufacturing (SM) performance measurement is a crucial aspect of evaluating and improving the environmental, social, and economic impacts of manufacturing processes. Implementing sustainable practices in manufacturing helps reduce environmental degradation, conserve resources, and enhance social responsibility. The fundamental drivers of sustainability are the preservation of the environment and natural resources, which can only be accomplished through manufacturing organizations. Environmental experts and businessmen are becoming more conscious of it. A framework for performance measurement (PM) is necessary to assess how well sustainable practices are working in any manufacturing organization. The objective of the research is to explore SM performance indicators using a modified balanced scorecard (BSC) technique from an Indian manufacturing organization’s perspective. The seven major performance indicators have been identified (environmental, social, economic, innovation, regulatory and compliance, supply chain, and customer perspective) and cast off on the performance system of measurement for the investigations of SM adoption in Indian manufacturing organizations. Results will help managers, businesspeople, and strategists find the data useful in assessing how well important system of measurement are doing while implementing SM in the direction of sustainability. This will also assist academics in conducting additional, multi-technique research on PM.
