Abstract: Abstract In the present work, lattice paths of Agarwal and Bressoud are modified by introducing backward horizontal step. These paths starting at (0, 0) with the modified terminology correspond to n–color compositions. Recurrence relations for a number of restricted n–color composition functions are proved using the lattice paths with these modifications.
