Abstract:
Abstract The limited overlap between supply chain management (SCM) and entrepreneurship is concerning because SCM issues may be crucial to an entrepreneurial firm developing into a long-term entity and providing ongoing employment. This paper aims to establish the need to focus on SCM within entrepreneurship and to encourage supply chain researchers to consider the entrepreneurial phase of a firm’s lifecycle as an essential area of inquiry. We argue that SCM may represent the profitable end of an entrepreneurial journey, the goal worth targeting.
