Abstract:
Abstract The present study proposes a research model to evaluate the influence of various geographic contextual factors, including educational, relational, and structural support, on psychological factors related to entrepreneurial intention determinants, such as perceived behavioral control and risk-taking propensity. An empirical analysis was conducted on a sample of 598 valid questionnaires from young professionals in Spain, China, and Ibero-America. The results obtained from this empirical analysis provide robust evidence to support the proposed hypotheses that contextual factors, including educational, structural, and relational support, exert a significant influence on perceived behavioral control and risk-taking propensity. These factors, in turn, act as critical determinants of entrepreneurial intention. The findings of this study demonstrate notable variations between countries, thus offering supplementary support to the extant theoretical research on the determinants of entrepreneurial intention. Moreover, these results provide valuable insights into the assessment of entrepreneurship support policies designed to foster EI in different countries.
