Abstract: Abstract Intelligent upgrading investment in the supply chains of charging facilities is beneficial for enhancing market competitiveness. However, the high costs of intelligent upgrading have a negative impact on the vested interests of the existing charging facility supply chains, thus further exploration is needed. Our study fills this gap by investigating the intelligent investment strategy in two competing supply chains of charging facilities. The intelligent level and charging price of charging facilities in centralized and decentralized models are considered to affect competition across the supply chains. The results show that the thresholds affected by competition intensity, intelligent construction cost coefficient, consumer intelligence sensitivity coefficient, and operational cost improvement effectiveness influence the equilibrium intelligent investment decisions of two competing supply chains. The asymmetric strategies are phased strategies that only occur in the short term, and competing supply chains will form a stable market pattern by dynamically evolving and choosing symmetric strategies. These findings are of great significance to manufacturers and operators in the intelligent charging station market.
