Abstract:
Abstract This book by Jill Lindsey Harris “shows how norms, communications, presumptions, and other aspects of organizational culture can reinforce environmental problems-that organizational failures to curtail environmental problems stem in part from the ways in which their members strive to do to do what they think best serves the organizational mission” (Harrison 2019, 205). This book’s author draws from in-depth interviews and observations what progress has been made with agency environmental justice (EJ) programs over the last 8 years with special attention to constructing racial meanings, reinforcing racial inequity, and delinking agency EJ efforts from the original basic principles.
