Abstract: Abstract The City is an Ecosystem is an edited volume with 22 contributed chapters focused on three major crises, i.e., climate change, biodiversity loss, and social equity, within the frame of urban ecosystems. The book is intended to be a transdisciplinary understanding of complex phenomena of urban ecosystems using integrative ways of knowing to address urban space dynamic problems, maintain benefits of cities, and minimize disadvantages.
