Abstract: Abstract Women play an integral part in job creation and income generation in the informal sector. They play their role in poverty alleviation and improving social welfare. These women have no formal training in business and management studies to successfully conduct these businesses over a long period. The study aimed to determine how these women are conducting their businesses and what necessary skills are required that can enhance entrepreneurship performance. Secondly, the intention behind the current study was also to look into the long-run impacts of these skills on performance. This study was survey-based quantitative research involving a sample of 110 women running start-up and middle-level businesses in the informal sector, in Lahore (Pakistan). Data analysis has been done using Smart PLS 3. The results showed that management skills can enhance self-efficacy and competency leading to high entrepreneurial intentions and improved entrepreneurial performance. Management skills develop planning, risk-taking, and decision-making expertise which motivates them for long-term planning. Training, seminars, and consultancies are integral so these women gain market information to expand their ventures into the local and international markets.
