Abstract:
Abstract The purpose of the present study is to investigate the mediating role of corporate governance on the relationship between blockchain technology (BT) and investment efficiency. This research based on a sample of 297 European companies listed in the STOXX Europe 600-years’ data covering the 2014–2018 period, our feasible generalized least squares (FGLS) results show that implemented blockchain technology significantly and positively affects the investment efficiency enterprises. In addition, the link between BT and investment efficiency is mediated by corporate governance. The findings suggest that the positive effect BT on investment efficiency more pronounced for firms with good corporate governance practice.
