Abstract:
Abstract The protection, defense or monitoring of facilities of critical importance by certain methods has become increasingly pertinent in recent years. Facilities such as airports, water reservoirs, state borders, weapon depots, prisons etc. are typically protected by mechanical barriers (barbed wire) integrated with alarm systems. Advancements in technology have allowed the aforementioned perimeter security systems to be improved and more reliable protection methods to be used. However, these systems, being predominantly human-operated, remain prone to delays and inefficiencies in addressing security breaches. To eliminate the identified shortcomings of the perimeter security device and better protect particularly important objects, we propose a method for integrating UAVs into the perimeter security system. When integrating fixed-wing and quadcopter-type UAVs into the mentioned system, the ability of UAVs to remain in the air for a long time and the UAV to stay suspended in the air must be taken into account. With the proposed method, it is possible to integrate UAVs into any type of perimeter security system without any intervention. With this method, it is possible to sufficiently increase the functionality of the system and the speed of response to incidents and organize the protection of objects in a more secure way.
